Kids' bed time
| | Esme was tired, very tired. So as soon as Amanda went out of the door, I picked her up, still screaming and took her up stairs. When we got to the top, I heard Bradley wailing -- she'd woken him up.
| | So, I put her on the bed -- still bawling. Went and picked Bradley up and brought him into the bedroom too.
| | They both sat there looking at each other crying. It was funny, I laughed, and I think that must have taken the edge off it. But still they were screaming. Esme suggested that she get Bradley's bottle, but couldn't pull it through the cot, so that made her cry again.
| | On and on they went, Bradley stopped when he got his bottle, but kept sobbing. Esme wouldn't let him have her spare dummy, she needs two.
| | She suggested that I give him a cuddle, which seemed to placate him. She's thoughtful like that.
| | She needed to get undressed, but also needs to show me that she can do it.
| | Eventually, the three of us lay down on the bed to go to sleep, but Bradley was kicking, so I moved him into the other room, patted his head, and he was quiet.
| | Esme wanted a cuddle, and soon she too was asleep.
| | Listening to them scream, isn't that hard these days. Even though I'm not 100% myself -- got a cold. You get used to it, even though it's very loud. You know that they're doing it because they're tired, and that soon they'll wear themselves out and be asleep pdq.

Bradley stands
| | He stood up himself today -- but no hands, that's right! Just stood there for a few seconds wobbleing a little. He seemed pleased with himself.
